Objective

 

To develop my Videography skills, obtain an undergraduate degree and secure an entry level job. It is my aim to work with individuals or organisations, preferably upon causes worthy of recognition, whilst continuing to improve my skills as a creative filmmaker.

 

Skills

  • Camera: can operate Panasonic and URSA cameras

  • Sound: experienced in location (mixer and mics) and studio sound

  • Lighting: able to do three-point lighting set-up, operate spotlight

  • Pre-production: research; adaptation; location sourcing; casting and blocking

  • Production: produced both factual and non-factual shorts, student studio shows

  • Post production: competent at Premiere Pro, Da Vinci Resolve and Pro Tools

  • Physical: capable lugger: two years part-time for removal firm

  • Technical theatre: educational experience in stage management, rigging, live AV

 

Employment

Potato Roguer - Summer of 2013 - 2019

The past seven summers I have been working for Perthshire Roguers. The job entails doing arduous work for up to 13 hours a day and remaining focused throughout that period. Performing the job to a high standard requires an eye for detail and physical fitness.

 

Caledonian Removals – December 2014 - January 2017

For two years I worked for a removals firm in the Perthshire area, performing physically demanding work. Communication within the team was vital as well as making the customer feel at ease during a potentially turbulent and stressful time.

 

Work Experience

  • Worked as both a Cable basher and Runner for Bees Nees TV on BBC Alba productions ALT and Trad Awards.

  • Produced and directed documentary about the people who work in the fly fishing industry which drew very positive feedback from tutors.

  • Produced and directed my first non-factual short. This involved planning and executing all stages of production.

  • Produced and directed a short promotional video for Caledonia removals.

  • Produced a recruitment video for the Business Enterprise department at CoGC.

  • Directed a factual video on an individual for showcasing at the SSSA.

Currently enrolled at City of Glasgow College (Main Campus)

Last year: HNC – TV and Film production (Grade A)

Perth University of Highlands and Islands from August 2015 - June 2016
